Vinos and Insectos at The Infinite Monkey Theorem

WTF?
by Carrie Dow on Feb 17, 2017 in Event Listing

Once again, Infinite Monkey Theorem is pushing the boundaries of taste by bringing together fine wine and insects. Yeah, bugs. If you are intrigued, the event is Thursday, February 23, beginning at 6:30 PM.

Wendy Lu McGill of Rocky Mountain Micro Ranch is preparing a tasty treat just for you. Enjoy a four-course dinner paired with IMT wines. Here’s the menu for the adventurous:

First – Toasted waxworms on winter greens with pomegranate seeds paired with Sparkling White
Second – Queen Weaver ants toasted with garlic and tossed with Campanelle paired with Blind Watchmaker Red.
Third – Locust Skewers with roasted root vegetables paired with Canned Chardonnay
Fourth – Chinese Black Ant-topped salted caramels paired with Petite Verdot

Afterward stay to enjoy seasoned cricket popcorn and take home a goodie bag with insect cuisine treats.

Along with trying out these interesting dishes, guests can learn how to add edible insects to their diets and amaze their friends. Cost is $35 per person and reservations are required. Call 303-736-8376 (x4) or email drink@theinfinitemonkeytheorem.com.
