Cochon555 Returns to Denver
One of the nation’s most unique and delicious culinary festivals return to Denver on Sunday, March 19. Cochon555 celebrates the beauty of the heritage pig with a nose-to-tail pig cooking competition with an expanded BBQ theme. Expand your mind and your taste buds with this incredible evening tasting.
Here is just a small sample of what guests can feast on: 1500 pounds of heritage pig, five chefs cooking up whole hogs, Pop-up Ramen Bar, Tomahawk Ribeye Bar, La Brea Pop-up Bakery, Farmstead Cheese Bar, Creminelli Cured Meats, Luxe Butter Bar, Perfect Puree Dessert Station and an Ice Cream Social. For drinking, enjoy five featured winemakers, Wines of the World, Somm Smackdown, The Manhattan Project, Angostura Swizzle Bar, Heritage Rum Cart, The Perfect Margarita Bar, Smoked Old Fashioned Bar, cider tastings and artisanal beer exclusives.
For imbibers, Cochon555 also features a cut-throat bartending competition called Punch Kings, where top barkeeps face off with their hand-crafted concoctions. Contestants are required to create one large format punch featuring one bottle of Breckenridge Bourbon, the event sponsor, and whatever ingredients they choose. They are given one punch bowl and 30 minutes to concoct a magic elixir that can be shared with friends. Bartenders can still sign up to compete on the Punch Kings website.
General Admission tickets are $125 per person for two and a half hours of tasting amazement. VIP tickets are $200 per person and include an hour early admission for extra bites and sips before the public. For those who want a truly unique experience, get a Bespoke ticket for $400 per person. Bespoke tickets include a special Saturday night guest chef multi-course charity dinner along with all the special events on Sunday.
