Where to Enjoy a Drink on Christmas Day 2015

You made it! After all the running around town and shopping and decorating and cooking and present wrapping and picture taking, it’s finally Christmas. Now the carols have been sung, the cookies have been eaten, the gifts have been opened, the toys have been played with, and the batteries run out. So now what? We suggest a drink! Here are a few places to have a holiday toast on Christmas Day.

Appaloosa Grill
This bar and grill on the 16th Street Mall will open at night from 5 PM to 2 AM and serve a regular menu. (535 16th St.; 720-932-1700)

Henry’s Tavern
Henry’s in Denver Pavilions will welcome guests from noon until 8 PM on Christmas with a special holiday menu and full bar service. (500 16th St., Unit 184B; 720-399-9466)

Highland Tap and Burger
Highland Tap and Burger will open at 5 PM on Christmas and if the weather cooperates, enjoy a hot toddy by the patio fireplace. (2219 W 32nd Ave.; 720-287-4493)

La Loma
Over in Jefferson Park, La Loma will serve up a South-of-the-Border Christmas dinner pairing with the bar’s tasty margaritas. (2527 W 26th Ave.; 303-433-8300)

Morton’s The Steakhouse
Morton’s will be open for dinner only from 4 PM to 9 PM on Christmas Eve and 2 PM to 9 PM on Christmas Day. (1710 Wynkoop; 303-825-3353)

P17
This Asian bistro will offer a unique Christmas brunch from 10 AM to noon and an a la carte dinner from 2 to 8 PM. Full bar service. (1600 E 17th Ave.; 303-0988)

The Corner Office
The restaurant will offer a special “Chinese Christmas” menu for the holiday, and the regular menu with full bar service will also be available. (1401 Curtis St.; 303-825-6500)

ViewHouse
Both locations of the ViewHouse will be open until 2 AM on Christmas Eve and open from 5 PM to 2 AM Christmas Day with both the regular and a holiday menu. Call 303-586-3523 for reservations at either location. (Ballpark, 2015 Market St.; Centennial, 7101 S. Clinton St.)
