Herzlich Willkommen! 17th Annual Biergarten Festival in Morisson

Head to Morrison the weekend of July 11-13 for lots of fun and foam at the 17th annual Biergarten Festival. Enjoy a traditional family-friendly German festival with traditional food, entertainment, music and dance groups. Oh, yes, there will also be bier.

Special events include a Bratwurst eating contest on Saturday, July 12, at 4 PM, and a Frühschoppen or German brunch on Sunday morning. The brunch is an all-you-can-eat buffet with jazz music by House Blend. As a traditional bier garten, there will be plenty of music and kids games and well-behaved dogs on a leash are allowed, except with 20 feet of the food service station.

Fine German and Austrian foods will be created by Chef Newhold, originally from Austria and Paulaner and Hacker Pschorr will provide the beers. There will also be wine, soft drinks and water available

The fun begins on Friday from 4 to 10 PM, Saturday is 11 AM to 10 PM and Sunday is 10 AM to 5 PM. Bands include Rick Borger and the Average German Band and Austrian Connection. Volunteers are always welcome and can sign up on the event’s website.

Tickets are $7 for Friday and Saturday and $5 for Sunday. There is an early bird special of $1 between 10 AM and noon and children 12 and under are free. The brunch is from 10 AM to 2 PM and is $15 per person ($8 for children). Those who want to participate in the bratwurst eating contest must RSVP online. The event will be held at the TEV Edelweiss festival grounds in Morrison, just off C-470 in the West Metro area. The event is sponsored by the Colorado Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce.
