Where to Watch Our Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII

Omaha, Omaha, the Broncos are in the Super Bowl! For those of us who can’t actually go to the game we can still get together to watch with our Bronco-lovin’ brethren. Here are some places around town offering a fun place to watch and cheer on the best football team ever. Go Broncos!

The Bark Bar (4132 W. 38th Ave.; 720-550-6970)
This new place over in Western Highlands is the only bar with a dog yard for our fur babies. For the Super Bowl the bar is offering pet sitting services outside in the yard while pet parents enjoy the game indoors on a giant projection screen. Cover charge is only $2 for four hours of pet sitting by Woof in Boots.

Chopper’s Sports Grill (80 S. Madison St.; 303-399-4448)
The party starts at 1 PM at this popular Cherry Creek sports bar. All this week, enter Chopper’s Super Bowl Table giveaway. The bar is giving away the best table in the house for four people with free Coors Light all during the game. Entries will be taken all this week in restaurant only. Guests can reserve tables in advance in the dining room for $25 per seat while seats in the main bar are first come first serve.

Fado Irish Pub (1735 19th St, Ste 150; 303-297-0066)
The party starts at 3 PM at this authentic Irish bar. Enjoy “Omaha” specials all during the game including $5 appetizers, $4 shots and $5 Jagerbombs.

Jake’s Food & Spirits (3800 Walnut Street; 303-295-3800)
Over in RiNo bring your posse to Jakes because large groups who reserve tables will receive a free pitcher of beer and a basket of wings. Jake’s has 11 flatscreens and a 100-inch projector screen to watch the game. Spots are limited so book early by calling 303-295-3800.

La Biblioteca (1610 Little Raven St., Ste 200; 720-904-0965)
There is a Super Bowl party at Denver’s largest tequila library in the Riverfront Park neighborhood. Starting at 4 PM until the end of the game, guests can enjoy an open bar, game snacks, and passed appetizers for $35 per person. Wait, did we hear OPEN BAR? Yes, we did! Open bar includes a selection of draft beers, house wines and cocktails. To purchased tickets call 720-904-0965.

Lowry Beer Garden (7577 E. Academy Blvd.; 303-366-0114)
Happy hour at this east Denver beer garden starts one hour before game time and will be extended until one hour after the game ends. Enjoy $5 wings and Bronco-themed drink specials.

Lodo’s (Downtown, Highlands Ranch and Westminster)
All three Lodo’s Bar and Grill locations will have Super Bowl food and drink specials all day. No reservations are required, but get there early to get the best seats and tables.

Super Bowl 5K (Washington Park)
In what can only be described as an “only in Denver” event RunDenver is hosting a pre-kickoff Super Bowl 5K at Wash Park on Sunday, February 2. Runners will start at the southeast corner of the park for this fun run to help people feel less guilty for having beer and wings in the afternoon. The 5K starts at 10 AM. Registration is $35 for adults and the race will be officially timed for die-hard runners. The Super Bowl 5K registration fees help to benefit Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and Girls on the Run of the Rockies.

Tamayo (1400 Larimer St.; 720-946-1433)
Watch the Super Bowl in style on the terrace at Tamayo. From 4 to 10 PM enjoy the bar’s special drink, Mile High Spanish Fly shooters (tequila, blue Curacao, blue Gatorade and orange slices) with every Broncos touchdown. Food specials include $3 tacos and $4 Mexican tapas along with $4 beers and $5 margaritas, sangria and wine.

Zengo (1610 Little Raven St.; 720-904-0965)
On Super Bowl Sunday, Zengo is offering a $35 bottomless brunch including unlimited small plates and cocktails. The featured game day cocktail is the Orange Crush with vodka and Orange Crush soda. The cocktail is $7 a la carte.
